HAMOND GORDON (E.G Hammond) Died peacefully, aged 86 years on July 6, 2020, after a long illness. He was cared for with great kindness at St Elizabeth Hospice, Ipswich and Haughgate House Nursing Home, Woodbridge. He had worked for the Ipswich & Suffolk Fire Service for 43 years and retired as their Chief Administration Officer in December 1992. He was the dearly loved husband of Doreen for 52 years, loving father to Gillian and respected father-in-law to Stephen and a very special grandpa to Kristian and Hannah and also older brother to George and Mildred. Due to the present circumstances there will be a cremation for family members only at Seven Hills Crematorium on Friday July 31, at 3.00 p.m. We hope to hold a Memorial Service at a later date. Family flowers only please, donations if desired will be divided between St Elizabeth Hospice and the Fire Fighters Charity and may be sent c/o.
