CHAPLIN DOUGLAS WILLIAM ARTHUR Died peacefully on May 7, 2020 aged 95 at Seckford Care after a long and full life. He was a skilled milling engineer and an enthusiastic Royal Air Force veteran of the 2nd World War where he saw service in India, Malaya and Japan. He leaves a son Jon, daughter-in-law Kate and brother Rod and sister-in-law Jen. Due to the current circumstances a private funeral will take place on June 3, 2020. No flowers please but if you wish, donations in memory of Doug can be sent to East of England Co-op Funeral Services, 26 Quayside, Woodbridge, IP12 1BH. Donations will be shared by two small local organisations who helped and supported Doug in recent years - namely, New Horizons Club and East Suffolk Ostomy Support Group. Cheques should be made payable to: East of England Co-op Funeral Services.
