RANFORD BARRETT We are sad to announce the death of Ranford (Ronnie) Alexander Barrett at age 84. Ronnie who was a carpenter by trade was a long-standing resident of Ipswich. Sadly, he was diagnosed with vascular dementia in recent years and on March 21, suffered a heart attack and passed away peacefully in his sleep. He had a passion for music, travel and Jamaica, particularly St Elisabeth where he was born. Ronnie, also fondly known as Alex, is survived by Irene his partner of over 30 years, his sister Lynette, children Peter, Virginia, Patricia and Paulette as well as grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. His funeral takes place on April 16, at 11.45 a.m. at the Ipswich Crematorium and will be followed by a memorial service in Jamaica, his final resting place. He will be sadly missed.
