A decision is still pending by High Court judges surrounding the use of Ipswich's Novotel by the government.
A further hearing is due to take place after the existing injunction - which was issued against Fairview Hotels (Ipswich) Limited and Serco Limited last month - expired earlier this week.
As part of the ruling, Novotel or any other hotel in the borough was prevented from taking in any additional refugees.
This is the latest update in Ipswich Borough Council's efforts to prevent the government from turning the hotel into a hostel for asylum seekers.
Council chiefs have always objected to the plans for Novotel and made their position clear to the Home Office.
It is unclear as to when any decision will be made, but the ongoing dispute looks set to continue for the forseeable future.
