A 25-year-old man has been charged with assault after another man was left with serious head injuries following an attack.
Police were called to Station Road East in Stowmarket just after 11.10pm on Sunday, December 18, to reports that a man had been left unconcious following an attack outside Carbon Nightclub.
The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious head and facial injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.
Following enquiries, police issued a statement to say Shane Wilson of Chalk Hill Lane in Great Blakenham, outside Ipswich, was wanted.
He was arrested in Elmswell on Thursday and has subsequently been charged with malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Wilson was remanded in custody before appearing at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
