A person was airlifted from a boat off the coast of Felixstowe and taken to hospital by crews from the Coastguard.
The Coastguard helicopter was called to a vessel in the North Sea near to Felixstowe at about 4.45pm on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the Coastguard helicopter from Lydd was sent to transfer a casualty from a vessel in the North Sea to Ipswich Hospital.
The crew arrived at the scene east of Felixstowe and successfully lifted the casualty to hospital.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
