A Felixstowe woman is to take on three marathons in six weeks to celebrate her dad, who has surpassed the two-year life expectancy he was given a decade ago.

Louise Cracknell will take part in the Brighton Marathon on April 2, London Marathon on April 23 and then Leeds Marathon on May 14.

The 39-year-old is doing this to raise money for the MND Association due to this year being 10 years of her dad, Kevin, living with Motor Neurone Disease.

Kevin was given a life expectancy of just two years back in 2013.

Louise said: "I'm choosing to celebrate the ten years by taking on the challenge of my biggest sporting test to date.

"I'm feeling a mixed bunch of emotions from excited to anxious, but I hope I do him proud and everyone else living with this cruel disease, to which there is no current cure."

She has a total of reaching £2,023, and has set up a JustGiving page to help her achieve her goal.
