Across Suffolk, roadworks will continue to disrupt travel this week.

As the county prepares to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, here are five stretches of works that drivers will want to plan their journeys around...

A14, Stowmarket

Delays on the A14 will continue as lane closures remain in place this week.

According to One Network, this current set of work will conclude at 6am on May 3, but signs on the road suggest work may continue until summer 2024.

Westerfield Road, Ipswich

From 5am until 11.59pm on May 7, Westerfield Road will be closed from the junction with Tuddenham Road to the junction with Manor Road and Park Road.

This is due to the Ipswich to Felixstowe Classic Vehicle Run.

Penzance Road, Kesgrave

In Kesgrave, the closure in Penzance Road will continue through until the end of June.

The road is shut while Cadent Gas carries out essential gas maintenance in the road to replace old iron gas mains.

B1066, Brockley to Whepstead

The B1066 will be closed from Brockley to Whepstead from May 2.

It will last until May 10 while Suffolk County Council carries out work between the two west Suffolk villages.

Straight Road, Foxhall

East of Ipswich, Straight Road will be closed from Foxhall to the junction with the A1156.

The closure will be in place from 7am on May 2 until May 4 at 5pm.
