Ipswich Hospital has received over £2,500 for their oncology unit following support from a scrap metal dealer in Ipswich.
Additional equipment which helps to reduce discomfort for patients being treated for cancer is now available at the hospital.
This has been made possible by Whip Street Motors, a regular support of Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
The scrap metal dealer donated £2,680 for extra air gloves to be used in the Woolverstone Wing, the hospital's oncology unit.
Charlie Baker, one of the four brothers at the family firm, said: "The oncology unit is very close to our hearts as we have many friends and customers who have been treated there.
"We are committed to helping the local community and like to regularly give to the hospital as we know the difference this makes to patients and their families."
Earlier this year, the firm also donated vein finders, which help locate veins below the skin to make it easier to give treatments.
Sandra Gosney, community fundraising manager for the charity, said: "We would like to thank Whip Street Motors Ltd for their continued support.
"Having the additional equipment will make such a difference to patients during treatment and procedures and bring some comfort during a difficult time."
