A primary school in the north-west of Ipswich is celebrating after receiving a 'good' rating by education watchdog Ofsted following an inspection in December.
The Beeches Community Primary School in Whitton, part of the ASSET Education group, was inspected early last month and was praised for its "calm and purposeful atmosphere", according to a recently-published report.
Children at the school were also praised and described as "friendly and happy", and they enjoy learning and "feel safe and behave well in lessons and around school".
The early years and nursery were particularly highlighted, with the report stating that 'children love coming to school' and they "rapidly settle down and feel safe".
Stephen Capper and Rachel Walker, co-headteachers of The Beeches, said: "We are very proud and pleased that the important work that everyone in the school does has been recognised and validated by this Ofsted inspection.
"A good early years and primary education is essential to the life chances of children and their families.
"At The Beeches, we work hard every day to create the opportunities for success an to encourage children to look ahead.
"We thank all of our staff, families, the community, partners, governors and ASSET for all your contributions, most of all though, we thank our children, who are so brilliant every day."
Clare Flintoff, chief executive of ASSET, said: "We are extremely proud of The Beeches and the education that it offers within its community which has been properly recognised.
"Governors, staff, pupils and families should feel rightly proud of their school and the opportunities that it offer, particularly the fact that all children are fluent readers in Year 3, a statement that few primary schools can make.
"The success of the school is down to the hard-working and committed staff and pupils and of course the support they receive from the families."
Also highlighted in the report, is the 'exceptional' personal development and curriculum extension opportunities for children.
