Rail operator Greater Anglia still has some of the most reliable trains in the UK, according to new monthly figures that have recently been released.
Across its network, 94.7% of trains ran on time during the four-week period to January 5.
The figure for the main Intercity line to London was 94.1%. This measures the proportion of trains that arrive within five minutes of schedule.
The Ipswich to Felixstowe and Marks Tey to Sudbury branches were among the most reliable in the region.
Greater Anglia managing director Jamie Burles said the rail provider was delighted to see its services ranked among the best in the UK.
He said: “We are glad to be consistently delivering high levels of punctuality for our customers and stakeholders across East Anglia.
"We are committed to maintaining these very high standards of performance, to compliment the transformation in the journey experience brought by our new trains, with their greater comfort, better facilities (including plug/USB points and Wi-Fi), increased seating capacity and better accessibility.”
