The A14 was partially blocked following a crash.
Traffic was queuing on the westbound carriageway near junction 52 for Claydon.
Witnesses report the accident happened around 5.20pm and police and ambulance are on the scene of the serious crash.
There were delays on the major road with traffic queuing back to junction 54 for Sproughton.
Traffic in the area has now cleared.
