An inquest for an 87-year-old man who had sepsis is expected to take place in October.
Colin King from Ipswich died on July 21 last year.
On Monday, a pre-inquest review was held with further details of his death being discussed at Suffolk Coroners’ Court in Ipswich.
The court heard that Mr King had contracted sepsis at the time of his death, and was receiving treatment for an ulcer to the heel of his left foot.
He is believed to have acquired the wound on May 8, when he was being cared for at Anchor’s Canterbury House in Hadleigh.
A full inquest into his death is expected to last two days, and is due to commence on October 14.
