St Joseph's College hosted a successful cabaret evening featuring a West End star. 

The event showcased a plethora of songs from well-loved musicals as students, parents, staff, and alumni were joined by West End star Lucy May Barker,

The evening featured a range of performances with each participant choosing their favourite musical song. 

This led to an energetic and varied mix of genres and styles, captivating the audience with both timeless and modern hits.

The event follows a collaboration between St Joseph's College and Arts International. 

It saw well-known performer Lucy May Barker, soon to tour internationally with 'Cats', hold a series of interactive workshops to prepare students for their performances.

Ms Barker herself charmed the audience with her rendition of the musical's classic tune, 'Memory'.

The event saw students display notable vocal strengths, with remarkable performances from Prep School pupils, including the quartet's version of 'She’s in Love' from The Little Mermaid and Anna and Bella’s rendition of 'Slipping Through My Fingers' from Mamma Mia.

College staff also proved their hidden talents on stage.

Notably, Mrs Gallagher performed a captivating rendition of 'Empty Chairs' from Les Miserables.

Former students and alumni also wowed the crowd with fantastic performances.

Expressing her delight at the event's success, principal Danielle Clarke said: "The cabaret evening was a testament to the incredible talent within our community.

"It was heartwarming to see students, staff, parents and alumni come together to celebrate their love of musical theatre.

"We are incredibly delighted to work with Arts International and in particular with Lucy May Barker.

"This collaboration provides our students with unparalleled opportunities to learn from the best in the industry, inspiring them to be more confident, creative, and compassionate individuals."
