Two former bars in prominent locations in Ipswich town centre are both still available for renters or buyers after almost a year of being on the market.

The Yates pub in Tower Street, near Tower Ramparts bus station, is still available for renters to take the three-storey unit over.

The pub, which was a member of the Stonegate Pub Group, closed on September 2 last year due to the lease expiring.

The venue was placed on the market by estate agent Everard Cole for an in-going rent of £65,000, with a freehold sale being potentially considered on an 'offers invited' basis.

Ten months on, however, the building is still empty.

The Rep, also situated in Tower Street, is also still available for a new owner to come in and give it a new lease of life.

The historic venue is available to buy for £350,000, with the sale being managed by Fleurets.

The pub was a home for entertainment in the town for more than 150 years.

This property was listed in September last year on the estate agent's website.
