From a celebration of local produce to a taste of Caribbean cuisine in Ipswich, here are a trio of Suffolk food festivals to spend a day at in August.

1. Bury St Edmunds Food Festival

When: Sunday, August 25 and Monday, August 26 from 10am to 5pm

Where: Bury St Edmunds town centre, IP33 3DG

The two-day food and drink festival is completely free to attend and will be packed full of treats to enjoy. 

Local chefs will be giving demonstrations at the Stoves Cookery Theatre in Cornhill with celebrity chef Galton Blackiston making a special appearance on the Monday. 

The Farmers Market on Angel Hill will have a variety of produce to try and there will be free entertainment including face painting, virtual reality and the Stealth Racer at the arc shopping centre. 

2. Taste of the Caribbean

Where: Bourne Park, Ipswich IP2 8LU

One of the UK's biggest food festivals is taking over an Ipswich park featuring street food vendors representing islands all over the Caribbean. 

Some of the food available includes jerk chicken, curry goat and vegan versions of classic Caribbean dishes. 

Attractions at the festival include eating competitions, fun fair rides and free activities for families. 

Tickets cost £15.30 and £8.38 for children.

3. Sudbury Street Food Festival

Where: Market Hill & Sudbury Arts Centre, Sudbury C010 2EA

A diverse range of culinary delights and street food will be available at the free bank holiday weekend festival. 

Some of the confirmed vendors include Wagyu Burgers, Mac Street Kitchen and The Raclette Truck

Sudbury Arts Centre is providing live music which will be performed throughout the day.
