A much-loved Ipswich pub is set to reopen just five months after it closed down.
The Kingfisher on the Chantry estate closed down in April after previous landlords ceased trading in April.
Now new landlords have taken over the pub and have announced it is due to reopen early September.
The new landlord is planning a number of events for when the pub reopens including a darts team, Texas Hold'em night and pool team.
In April former landlords Penny Youngs-Debnam and her husband Dwayne said they would be closing the pub after running it since 2019.
The pair said: "Some big boots to fill for whoever does take over but wish them luck."
The pub was a popular place for many people to meet up with friends.
After lockdown the pub hosted Meet Up Monday events where people were able to regularly get together and meet new people.
The new landlords are currently hiring for staff ahead of the opening.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
