Two people who are accused of attempting to murder a man in Ipswich last year will have to wait until March 2026 for their trial to take place due to delays in the criminal justice system.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday were Gina Hockley, 57, of St George’s Street, Ipswich, and Ali Todd, 34, of Lower Brook Street, Ipswich.
They both pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Jason Howells on September 22 last year and wounding him with intent to do him grievous bodily harm on the same date.
They were charged with attempted murder following an incident at Blackfriars Court in Ipswich.
Hockley and Todd appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich back in June.
Their trial, which is expected to last seven days, will get underway on March 9 in 2026.
Judge Martyn Levett directed that a further case management hearing should take place at the court on October 14 this year.
