Overnight lane closures on the A14 will begin this week.
Earlier this month National Highways confirmed that part of the Orwell Bridge will be closed from Monday to Friday while works are carried out.
National Highways say that these closures will be in place to allow them to carry out drainage works and to jet and clean the gullies.
A spokesman for the organisation confirmed that on Monday and Tuesday, August 13, a lane on the eastbound carriageway will be closed.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, there will be lane closures both ways, and on Thursday and Friday, there will again be a lane closure on the eastbound carriageway.
The lanes will be closed between 9pm to 5am.
