An inquest has been opened into the death of a paramedic from Ipswich who died last year.
On Friday, the inquest into the death of Rebecca McLellan was opened at Suffolk Coroners’ Court in the town.
Miss McLellan died on November 20 last year, aged 24.
The court heard that Miss McLellan's colleagues at the ambulance service grew worried after they had had been unable to contact her during the day.
As there were concerns for her mental health, they called the police, who attended Miss McLellan’s address.
Miss McLellan was declared deceased just after 8.30pm that evening.
At the time of her death, Miss McLellan had been receiving care from Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
A pre-inquest review is expected to take place in November, with a full inquest date yet to be scheduled.
