An inquest into the death of a man who died on the A14 outside Ipswich will take place in November.
Barrie Tingley, 54, and from Willisham, died after the incident on March 29 earlier this year.
At the opening of his inquest on Friday, it was heard emergency services received calls concerned for the safety of a man in the Whitehouse area.
The court then heard Mr Tingley was found in the middle of the carriageway after a fall from a bridge.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to treat Mr Tingley, with an air ambulance also sent to the A14.
The inquest heard that Mr Tingley died at the scene.
A full inquest into his death is expected to take place on November 4.
