Ipswich board game lovers spend wedding day at Geek Retreat

Jay, 30, and Lisa Rednall, 37, from Ipswich, wed on August 31, and decided they wanted to have their reception at Geek Retreat in Upper Brook Street.

The pair, who are both lovers of games, have been together for the last two years and four months.

Lisa said: "The owners of Geek Retreat treat you like family and there are events and tournaments held there regularly.

"My son goes there and really enjoys it and we thought it would be a nice place to have our reception at.

"It was beautiful, they did the table layout, we did the speeches, wine was provided for. It was great."

Before the reception the couple took a walk along the Waterfront where more pictures were taken.

The couple also like to go to Geek Retreat to play games, with their favourites being Battleships, Connect 4 and chess.

Lisa continued: "There has never been any arguments caused from games as we know they are for fun. It doesn't matter who wins or loses, it's just having fun which is all that matters.

Mrs Rednall added: "If anyone is getting married and looking for a reception venue, we would strongly recommend Geek Retreat as they provide the best service.

"We thank everyone who came to our wedding and made the day so special for both of us."

This was Geek Retreat's second wedding reception they have hosted.
