An inquest into the death of a 21-year-old man who died after being struck by a train will resume later this year.
Jack Aggett, from Ipswich, died in the early hours of the morning of February 16.
At around 3.20am that morning, officers from British Transport Police were called to the line near Derby Road railway station, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Suffolk Coroners Court heard on Friday that Mr Aggett was struck by a freight train, which was driving at around 35 miles per hour.
The court heard that the driver had applied the emergency brake.
Emergency services were called but Mr Aggett died at the scene.
A full inquest into his death is expected to take place on December 3.
