A suspected drug dealer from Ipswich has been charged after being arrested in a mid Suffolk town.
Officers found a vehicle in Union Street in Stowmarket on Monday and detained the two people from inside the vehicle.
They were both searched and the passenger was found to be in possession of an amount of suspected class A drugs, believed to be cocaine, while two mobile phones suspected to be used in drug dealing were also seized.
Offices arrested two men aged 23 and 26 and took them to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning.
The 26-year-old man was released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
Ghorge Mihai, 23, of Christchurch Street, Ipswich, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Mihai appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on October 21.
