A police misconduct hearing into the death of a man who was found in an Ipswich hotel room is ongoing, an inquest heard.

On Friday, an update into the inquest of Anthony Card was heard before Suffolk Coroners’ Court in Ipswich.

Mr Card, who was from Stainforth in Doncaster, south Yorkshire, died at a hotel in Ipswich in November 2023.

Cleaning staff had entered the room and found the 48-year-old unresponsive.

They alerted the manager and ambulance and police were called to the scene. At around 12.18pm on November 22, 2022, Mr Card was pronounced deceased.

On Friday, the coroner adjourned the inquest until May 10 next year.
