A woman was injured after a reported hit-and-run collision near Ipswich town centre.

At about 3pm on Thursday, September 26, officers from Suffolk police received reports of a car colliding with another parked car in Fonnereau Road.

The car reportedly hit the stationary vehicle as the woman was getting her son out of his car seat.

The woman sustained an injury to the head and leg following the collision.

Officers believe the car then failed to stop but was not identified by the woman.

Police say they are currently investigating this incident and anyone with information should contact Suffolk police, quoting CAD 215 of September 26.
