A lorry overturned following a crash on the A12 in Suffolk on Wednesday.
The road was closed northbound between Junction 31 at Holton St Mary and Junction 32A at Capel St Mary for the recovery of vehicles.
National Highways posted on X, formerly Twitter, at just before midnight that the road had reopened.
There were nine fire engines, including seven crews from Essex and two from Suffolk, at the scene.

On Wednesday, a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "There are seven appliances from Essex Fire and Rescue Service currently in attendance. SFRS currently has one fire engine from Ipswich East and one from Hadleigh in attendance.
"Suffolk Police and the East of England Ambulance Service are also in attendance."
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle.
"One person was transported to Ipswich Hospital."
