With winter on its way, drivers may start to see gritters travelling along Suffolk roads.
Despite weather temperatures not reaching the threshold gritters will be undertaking dry runs so drivers can familiarise themselves with gritting routes and new in cab equipment.
Suffolk Highways has advised people to park their vehicles with consideration and leave enough room so that our vehicles can grit the road.
This does not only apply to our vehicles, access is also needed for emergency vehicles to pass through.
Gritters cover approximately 51% of all roads maintained by Suffolk County Council.
