A private members club in Ipswich has applied for a licence that would see it able to serve alcohol from 8am everyday.

The Ipswich and Suffolk Club in Northgate Street in the Suffolk town has applied to Ipswich Borough Council for the licence that would also allow the venue to sell alcohol off the premises.

It is the latest establishment in the town to have applied for a licence selling alcohol at this time following Mannings, The Station Hotel and the Halberd.

However, the licences for those were granted for days when Ipswich Town are playing at Portman Road only, not every day.
