Memory
I have so many wonderful memories from different eras of my life but the one moment I keep coming back to is walking along Southwold harbour in the winter with my parents when I was a tiny tot. The smell of the sea air, wind blowing around and our dog at the time, Molly Dog running laps around us and jumping into the water from great height. It’s a very fond memory of mine!

Town
It’s got to be Southwold. I feel very lucky to have grown up so close to such a picturesque town. I love the seasons in Southwold, the different people coming and going and everyone always seems in such a good mood and happy to be there! It rubs off on me!

Beach
Dunwich beach is up there with my favourites. It’s so huge and can feel quite wild in the winter. One of my top Suffolk runs finishes at the top of the cliffs where you’re given a sneak peek of the sea before you head down towards the beach and finish with a swim! It’s just bliss.

Place to eat
The Black Dog Deli in Halesworth has got everything spot on. The atmosphere is buzzing, the food and service is fantastic and they welcome dogs… My dog Sami particularly enjoys it because there’s even complimentary dog biscuits.

Landmark
Blythburgh Church is quite something and makes me think I’m nearly home when I’ve been away. It’s beautifully flood lit in the dark and sits opposite the still marshes. There are also some great runs and walks around the area which I’ve put to good use.

Pub
The Harbour Inn in Southwold. I used to go with my parents when I was tiny but I’ve recently rediscovered its charm. It transports your mind to another time and it really is a real good old fashioned pub. The low ceilings, the cosy feel and the serving hatch to order drinks make it feel like you’re in a ship.

Day out
Going to Dunwich woods for a long run, finishing with a swim and then heading to Walberswick to spend the day pottering around the shops, walking the dogs along the beach and having lunch at the Bell Inn. That's always something I think about when I’m suffering on expedition.

Export
Adnams. From being a child and smelling hops down Southwold high street, knowing it was Adnams, to seeing the brand and values of Adnams develop is truly remarkable. I can honestly say that their drinks are my favourite and whenever I’m celebrating or when I get back from or complete a tough expedition, it has to be Adnams Champagne!

Shop
Tricky, I’ve got a few but I was taken a back recently when I stepped foot in Southwold Flower Company. It’s stunning! I couldn’t believe the beauty in the flower arrangements and the gorgeous smells that take over you when you go inside the shop. I love the idea that in the summer you can pick your own too, genius.
