A flood alert is in place for Ipswich and parts of the Suffolk coast as tides are expected to be higher than usual this morning.
The Environment Agency has issued the alert for the areas surrounding the Orwell and Deben rivers for between 10.45am and 12.45pm on Wednesday.
It means low-lying areas in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Martlesham and Woodbridge may be flooded during this period.
The Environment Agency said on its website: "The current series of high spring tides has now reached its peak, and will fall away over the next few days.
"Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate."
Flooding was reported across Suffolk last week after a period of heavy rainfall, when a more severe flood warning was in place for Bumpstead Brook in the Steeple Bumpstead area in north Essex.
