An 80-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital after a serious crash on the A14 in mid Suffolk last week.
The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway at Coddenham, just past the junction with the A140 near Needham Market, at about 4pm last Friday.
A grey Honda Civic crashed into a lorry that was parked in a layby.
The driver of the Honda – an 80-year-old man – was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by air ambulance for treatment.
He remains in hospital in a condition that is described as critical, but stable.
The A14 was initially closed in both directions after the crash, with the westbound carriageway reopening at 6pm and the eastbound reopening at 9.20pm.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage of the area, to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Suffolk police, quoting reference number 37/77947/22.
