Another weather warning for ice has been issued for Suffolk this weekend - the sixth warning of this kind in the space of a month. 

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of the county with people urged to take extra care on icy patches. 

The warning, which is in place between 3am and 11am on Sunday, comes after the county has been hit by subzero temperatures. 

Forecasters are warning of possible injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, along with icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

A cold weather alert was issued for the region at the start of the month with experts stating the cold snap could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and cause disruption to deliveries. 

Earlier this week a number of schools in south Suffolk were forced to close as a result of overnight snowfall. 

Suffolk's gritters have been out in force this week keeping roads clear of ice. 

People are also being reminded to keep their homes heated to at least 18C - particularly if they have reduced mobility, are 65 or older, or have a health condition.

Weather experts are suggesting that slightly warmer temperatures could be on the way next week.
