Is your dog destined to be the next star of the stage?
According to Ipswich Borough Council, directors of the opera 'La Boheme' are looking for a local dog and its owner to take centre stage when the show comes to town.
The production is looking for a small, well-behaved pooch that works well with people and is calm when things are quiet.
The chosen dog will join its owner on stage in costume for one "special" performance.
To audition your dog, send a photo of them with your contact details, including the breed, height, weight, age and name of your dog by email to angela@ellenkent.co.uk.
Tuesday, February 7 is the deadline to apply.
The successful dog will be contacted a week before the performance, which takes place at the Regent Theatre on February 21.
The set reflects the Bohemian art of the period and will include a brass band, snow effects and a full choir and orchestra.
It will be performed in the traditional Italian with English subtitles.
Puccini’s masterpiece, La Bohème, is based on Henri Murger’s novel 'Scenes de la vie de boheme'.
Set in Paris, it focuses on the tragic love between seamstress Mimi and penniless poet Rodolfo.
Tickets are on sale now for the performance on 21 February on the Ipswich Theatres website.
