The owner of a café in Felixstowe has spoken of the "emotional rollercoaster" the past three years have been since opening and has marked the occasion with a revamp.
Crescent Café opened on March 10, 2020, a matter of days before the first Covid lockdown was imposed on England.
Lewis Clarke, the owner of the business in Felixstowe's Crescent Road, said: "Since we opened it has been an emotional rollercoaster, that would be the best way to sum it up.
"We have had our highs and our lows in these last three years.
"We were open for two weeks and then we had to adapt to doing takeaway almost instantly after opening.
"We have had three individual lockdowns since we opened, along with restrictions in place for almost that entire time, which obviously hindered what we were trying to do as a business.
"Now, we have things like the energy crisis, the cost of living crisis and things like people not being able to eat."
Crescent Café has signed up for the East Suffolk Comfort Food scheme, providing hot food to those most vulnerable as it is something that Mr Clarke is passionate about.
To celebrate three years in business, the café has been closed for the past week to complete a small revamp.
As part of the refurb, Mr Clarke has given the place a new lick of paint, as well as buying some new tables and getting them in place.
Mr Clarke said: "People have commented on Facebook on the revamp pictures and said how lovely it looks which is always pleasing.
"We just want to be relevant all the time and update our look and we will continue to do that."
Mr Clarke and his business partner and friend, Daniel Ward, use local produce for their food, and to celebrate their 3rd anniversary will be offering a free slice of cake on Friday, March 10.
