Two Suffolk scout leaders will head to South Korea this summer to represent the UK and be part of a team at the 25th World Scout Jamboree.
Hayley Liddell, 29 from Woodbridge and Peter Mower, 72 from Ipswich, have both been chosen to be part of a multi-national team of adults, the International Service Team at this year's jamboree.
The Jamboree, which is held every four years, sees 50,000 scouts aged between 14 and 17 from 170 countries come together.
Peter and Hayley will be part of a 6,000-strong adult volunteering team that will be able to pass on their skills and experience to the younger people, while also organising activities and providing key services.
Peter said: "The wait is almost over and the excitement is tangible.
"I feel volunteering at the World Scout Jamboree is an opportunity to support young people from all around the world to participate in an adventure they've not had before.
"I am looking forward to experiencing the friendship that goes with the jamboree."
Hayley said: "I am unbelievably excited to be able to support young people from all over the world to gain an insightful experience.
"I am hoping to learn and develop new skills myself and make new friends whilst gaining first-hand experiences."
UK Chief Scout, Bear Grylls, said: "Congratulations to Peter, Hayley and all the other adult volunteers who have been selected to support this adventure.
"Young people could not take part in these life-changing events without the support of adult volunteers like Hayley and Peter.
"Over the last couple of years, adult volunteers have played an important part in holding our communities together."
