Ipswich has seen plenty of restaurants and cafés come and go over the years.
From national chains to small independent restaurants, it is fair to say the town has changed a lot.
Hundreds of people responded with their favourites first time around, so here are five more restaurants that people miss in Ipswich.
Cult Café
One recent closure that left our readers upset was Cult Café earlier this year.
The popular waterfront eatery was perfect for a lunch time meal and a quick bite to eat, but it shut its doors in April.
Casablanca
Another popular favourite among our readers was Casablanca in Tacket Street.
Best known for its Lebanese and Moroccan offering, the restaurant fell victim to the coronavrius pandemic in 2020, having been open since 2016.
Old Orleans
The Cardinal Park eatery was hugely popular among Ipswich locals.
Old Orleans could cater for every occasion, and was always busy on the weekend, before closing down in 2011.
Chimichanga
Another Cardinal Park favourite was Mexican restaurant Chimichanga.
Several of readers highlighted their delicious burritos and Mexican food, but the restaurant departed Ipswich in 2018.
The building is now occupied by The Gym.
Pizzaland
The popular chain restaurant had its very own site in Ipswich.
Located in Carr Street, the pizzas left plenty of customers satisfied before the business went bust in 1996.
