About 1,500 people are set to take part in the Ipswich Twilight 10k race, taking place on Friday evening.
The race will start at 7.30pm from Portman Road and take them through the town, going past Ipswich's shopping areas and the Corn Exchange and Town Hall.
Along the route, they will run through Princes Street, Westgate Street and through the town centre before running back towards Portman Road, for the finish.
This race means there will be bus diversions and road closures planned for a short time while the race is on.
Between 6.30pm and 10pm on Friday, these roads will be closed:
- Constantine Road
- Russell Road
- Princes Street
- Chalon Street
- Civic Drive
- Museum Street
- Westgate Street
- Providence Street
- Lloyds Avenue
- Tavern Street
- Carr Street
- Upper Orwell Street
- Orwell Place
- Tacket Street
- Dog's Head Street
- Foundation Street
- Lower Brook Street
- Upper Brook Street
- Butter Market
- Queen Street
- Friars Street
- Franciscan Way
- Wolsey Street
- Cecilia Street
Bus diversion routes are also planned, with many buses unable to take the normal route.
Services between 6.30pm and 9.30pm will be affected by the race.
