The reopening date for an Ipswich Post Office has been delayed.
The Stoke Park Drive branch was expected to reopen at the end of the month and restore service to the community.
It was originally planned that the store would reopen on September 26.
However, the Post Office has since confirmed it will now open on Tuesday, October 3 at 1pm.
The opening hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, providing 54 hours of service a week to customers.
Wendy Hamilton, Post Office network provision lead, previously said of the reopening of the Stoke Park Drive branch: “We are delighted that a new Postmaster will soon restore Post Office services to Stoke Park as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
"I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that our customers will continue to use this service.”
Several Post Offices have been lost in Suffolk over the last few years, including the branch in Mildenhall – which recently confirmed its closing date.
