People in Ipswich have been left without water, or with low pressure, after floods "overwhelmed" a treatment centre.
Anglian Water's treatment works at Whitton was unable to cope as a result of Storm Babet's heavy downpours on Friday, meaning the company were unable to supply water to the town.
One resident reported they noticed their water had gone off around 6pm on Friday evening.
While work is ongoing to solve the problem, the company have diverted water from elsewhere in the network to ensure a supply for the town, albeit at a much lower pressure.
A spokesperson said: "We're really sorry that customers in Ipswich have low pressure or no water at the moment.
"The heavy rain has caused flooding which has overwhelmed our treatment works at Whitton and stopped it from being able to treat and supply water.
"Our teams have been working hard to get things sorted but between the weather and the fact our site has been closed, it's been a really complicated problem to solve.
"We've been able to divert water from elsewhere in the network to keep taps flowing but it's likely to be at a much lower pressure than normal.
"We're working hard to pump flood water out of our site and get the treatment works back online.
"Our teams are also out trying to clear airlocks from the network, which are also contributing to problems with supply."
