1. The Grazing Sheep

Opening Hours: 8am until 3pm
A breakfast, lunch, brunch, and coffee spot overlooking Ipswich Marina.
They serve freshly roasted and ground Italian coffee and their food menu includes breakfast muffins and sourdough open sandwiches.
The café reopened under new management in 2018.
2. Applaud Coffee
Where: 19 St Peter's Street, IP1 1XF
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm
If the autumn chill lasts all day, why not enjoy a treat of afternoon tea.
Applaud Coffee serves a traditional afternoon tea with a selection of mini sandwiches, scones, and cakes for £18 per person.
In November, the cafe will start serving a festive afternoon tea as well featuring mini mince pies and cranberry and orange scones.
3. The Green Room
Where: 18 St Margaret's Street, IP24 2BS
When: Monday to Thursday from 8.30am until 3pm (4pm on Fridays)
The café sources its coffee beans from independent UK small-batch roasters.
As well as serving a range of coffees and hot drinks, it also hosts events such as life drawing, book club and poetry evenings.
Dogs are also welcome to enjoy water and free dog treats, or homemade dog cakes on offer.

4. Paddy and Scott's
Where: Ambition House, Neptune Quay, IP4 1QJ
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday from 8am until 4pm (9.30am on Saturdays)
The craft coffees at Paddy and Scott's are designed with them there every step of the way.
Enjoy one of their freshly brewed coffees whilst looking over Ipswich Waterfront.
Last year the café hosted a 'PuppyChino' event.

5. Hullabaloo
Where: 14 St Peter's Street, IP1 1BX
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm (4pm on Saturdays)
Hullabaloo is a plant-based café in Ipswich that gained a reputation for keeping a small seasonal menu made from fresh ingredients.
The menu includes dishes such as scrambled tofu and sweetcorn fritters.
It was recently named one of the best places for breakfast in the UK by the Observer Magazine.
