A date has been set for the huge Christmas tree to go up in Ipswich town centre ahead of the highly anticipated light switch-on event.
The Ipswich Christmas tree will once again be set on the Cornhill this year, with the tree set to go up on Wednesday, November 15.
Every year the tree is the main event of the Christmas light switch-on event, which this year is due to take place on Thursday, November 23.
The tree will be lit by Ipswich Mayor, Lynne Mortimer alongside the cast of Sleeping Beauty, with BBC Radio Suffolk presenters Wayne Bavin and Sarah Lilley hosting the evening.
The event is expected to attract hundreds of people to the town centre as businesses gear up for the busy festive season in Ipswich.
Earlier this week, Christmas decorations were put up along the high street – signifying the start of the festive season.
An Ipswich Winter Weekender is also set to happen between December 7-11, with the tree again being a prominent attraction.
