A well-known key-cutting and repairs chain is expected to open in a pod at Sainsbury's car park in Ipswich for 'while you shop' services.
Ipswich Borough Council approved the application, for the pod at Sainsbury's in Hadleigh Road, on Wednesday.
The pod will be operated by Timpson, which offers dry cleaning, key cutting, watch repair, engraving and shoe repair services.
The company already operates outside many Sainsbury's in the UK, including the Warren Heath store in the east of Ipswich.
Timpson also has a shop in Ipswich town centre.
According to application plans, the pod would be positioned to the right of the first zebra crossing when entering the car park, near the disabled car parking spaces, and in the pedestrian area so would not result in the loss of any parking spaces.
The pod will include a customer service counter and waiting area, and staff working areas and will operate as a drop-off and collection point for products, which are serviced both on and off site.
Customers may choose to wait on-site, or may call and collect at a later date.
