A teenager who killed a 16-year-old in a stabbing and a woman who had sex with a schoolboy in the 1980s were among those jailed in Suffolk in December.
Gillian Mitchell
Gillian Mitchell, 60 and of Butt Road in Great Cornard, denied five offences of indecent assault and two of gross indecency with a boy in the 1980s.
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Mitchell, aged in her 20s at the time, touched the 12-year-old boy's bottom at a wedding reception and later had sex with him.
The victim, who is now is his 50s, told the court how he suffered from mental health problems and substance and alcohol misuse and blamed his experiences as a child.
The jury found her guilty of one offence of indecent assault but cleared her of the remaining six charges.
After her conviction, Mitchell was warned by Judge Nicola Talbot-Hadley that she faced the prospect of jail time.
She was sentenced to three years imprisonment on Friday, December 1.

Stephen Byrne
The 54-year-old, of Hodson Close in the town, approached the victim from behind while drunk and stabbed her in her back while she was walking her dog down near a car park in St Olaves Road just before 10.30pm on June 14.
After the incident he headed home where he called the police and admitted to the attack.
He also admitted he had been drinking alcohol throughout the day and was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Byrne was charged with and admitted possessing a knife in a public place and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was sentenced to 45 months in jail at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, December 1.
Jake Cambridge
Jake Cambridge, of Northgate Street in Bury St Edmunds, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 15, where he was charged with theft from a shop.
The 29-year-old was sentenced to three weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.
A further nine weeks were added to his sentence as he had already been issued with a suspended sentence for shoplifting offences.

Harley Barfield's murderer
Sixteen-year-old Harley Barfield was stabbed near Strasbourg Square in Haverhill on the afternoon of Monday, January 9.
He was attacked by his new girlfriend's 17-year-old ex-boyfriend, who viewed Harley as an obstacle to a reunion.
The jury was told how the teenage attacker confronted Harley in a "jealous rage" and tried to goad him into a fight before stabbing him with a kitchen knife.
The attacker fled the scene and disposed of the knife.
Harley was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital before being transported to nearby Royal Papworth Hospital, but died as a result of a fatal wound to his heart.
After a trial at Ipswich Crown Court, the teenage attacker, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found guilty of murder by a majority verdict.
He was given a life sentence and told he will serve a minimum of 17 years behind bars.
Gavin McConky
Gavin McConky, of Tayfen Road in Bury St Edmunds, was jailed after stealing more than £1,000 worth of alcohol from a sports ground.
On Friday, November 10, the 53-year-old broke into the Victory Sports Ground in Nowton Road and stole £1,016 worth of booze.
He was charged with burglary and was jailed for a total of six weeks at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 11.
Mustafa Ramzan
Ramzan, of Wenlock Mews in London, took the victim to a security lodge in Rougham Road.
The victim was also robbed of all her money amounting £200 and her phone was damaged.
She left the scene in a distressed and partially dressed state.
Ramzan, 34, was arrested and charged with the offences.
He was given 10 years in jail for rape with further sentences of seven years for attempted rape, six years for sexual assault by penetration, and four years for robbery, to be served concurrently.

Danny Warby
The 35-year-old, of no fixed address by formerly of Cowlinge, near Newmarket, was stopped by police officers at a petrol station in Willie Snaith Road.
Officers had reason to request a breath test, which showed a roadside reading of 95mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath- three times over the legal limit.
Warby was arrested and further enquiries showed he was disqualified from driving after being convicted of causing death by dangerous driving in 2016.
He appeared at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 14 and admitted driving with excess alcohol, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Warby was given a 15-week prison sentence and banned from driving for three years.
