Poundland has confirmed that its store in Ipswich will remain open, just weeks after it was earmarked for closure.
Earlier this month, the retailer announced its branch inside the Sailmakers Shopping Centre would close down in February after the firm said it was unable to agree a new lease with the site's owners.
However, a spokesman for Poundland confirmed that the store will now remain open.
The spokesman said: "We’ve been working hard behind the scenes with the landlord and are pleased that we’ve managed to secure an agreement that will keep the store open."
Poundland closed its store in nearby Carr Street last year.
The budget retailer instead opened a larger store at the Copdock Interchange retail park on the outskirts of town.
That shop opened on September 2.
