Work has started on a £240,000 scheme to refurbish facilities at a fire-hit spa on the outskirts of Ipswich.
Riverhills Health Club & Spa in Bramford has brought forward the next phase of its refurbishment, which is running alongside its project to reinstate its pool area which was destroyed in a fire last year.
The latest part of the works will see six of its treatment rooms overhauled and modernised, while a new luxurious lounge will also be created.
It comes amid £500,000 worth of investments already completed since by Mosaic Group since it acquired the complex in 2021.
Owner Dave Courteen said: “With work already underway to rebuild our pool area following the fire last year, we’ve made the best of what has been a difficult situation by taking the opportunity to bring forward the next phase of our planned refurbishment.
“Our new-look treatment rooms will bring the spa in line with the modern upgrades we’ve already made across the club as well as complementing our new pool area which we hope to reopen at the end of this year."
