Plans for a new five-bedroom house share in Ipswich's Hatfield Road have been submitted to the council.
Ipswich Borough Council has received an application to create a new house share in the residential street in the Suffolk town, with five bedrooms spread across two floors.
Plans show that two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, as is a combined kitchen, diner and “family room”.
The remaining three bedrooms are located on the first floor, as are two shared bathrooms.
An application form submitted to the council shows that the house share is already being rented out to three people, who are separate tenants and have no relation to each other.
The applicant explained that this application has been submitted in readiness for a new rule coming into effect on June 1, after which time the council need to give permission for residential houses to become small houses of multiple occupation.
Ipswich Borough Council is expected to reach a decision on this application by May 8.
