Strong interest is expected in a quayside storage site at the Port of Ipswich which is being offered up for rent for an undisclosed sum.
The 2.18 acre plot of open storage land is at the West Bank Terminal and is a hardstanding area considered suitable for a variety of potential uses.
Agents said it could be used for industrial, logistics, warehousing, distribution and other port-related functions.
The docks can accommodate vessels with a draught of 8.4m, length of 155m and there is no restriction on beam sizes.
Every year, the port handles two million tonnes of goods - including steel, forest products and bulk cargos. The port is also a major site for agricultural commodities.
ABP has invested £49.6m over the past 12 years at the port, which has an active rail line on the West Bank Terminal and good sea and road links to the A14 and A12.
The property is being marketed jointly by Savills and Penn Commercial.
