A police cordon is currently in place in Ipswich town centre.
Suffolk police said it was dealing with an incident on Thursday morning, with roads closed and a cordon in place.
Dial Lane and Thoroughfare have both been shut, while a cordon is in operation along Tavern Street, Princes Street and Buttermarket.

It follows reports of a burglary which was taking place at Carats Jewellers at 4.35am.
A male suspect has reportedly climbed onto a roof.
