An Ipswich man has been told to pay compensation after he admitted damaging an extractor fan and stealing a PlayStation.
Edward Gemmell, 43 and of Wells Close in Ipswich, pleaded guilty to causing over £1,000 of damage to an extractor flat and council flat in Ipswich.
He also admitted stealing a PlayStation worth £165 from Felixstowe.
Appearing at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on April 18, he was told to pay out a total of £1,221.
This included £165 in compensation for the Felixstowe theft of the games console on November 6 and £1,056 in compensation for the Ipswich criminal damage on November 26.
Gemmell admitted damaging a council house bathroom extractor fan and flat, causing £1,106 worth of damage.
His guilty pleas to charges of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and theft, which were entered in February, were taken into account in the sentencing, according to a court listing.
